We started with a simple observation: parents want to see inside nurseries, but current camera systems create more problems than they solve. We believed there had to be a better way.

We believe this tension, between visibility and privacy, is not a trade-off. It is a design challenge. And we have built the technology to solve it.

Our story
Kindiguardian began when our founders, both parents of young children, realised that nurseries faced an impossible choice. They could install cameras and face GDPR complaints, staff resistance, and legal risk. Or they could have no cameras and face anxious parents asking what happens during the day.
Neither option was acceptable. So we set out to build something better: a system that gives parents genuine visibility while protecting the privacy of every other person in the room. Not through policies or promises, but through technology that makes privacy violations architecturally impossible.
We assembled a team with deep experience in computer vision, privacy engineering, and childcare regulation. We built prototypes, tested with real nurseries, and iterated until the product was ready. Kindiguardian is the result.
